Michael Morgenroth

Executive Board - CEO

Michael Morgenroth is the founder and CEO of CAERUS Debt Investments AG, which was initially founded in April 2012 under the name SIGNA Real Estate Advisory AG. Since a management-buy-out on 1 July 2013, the company has been operating under its current name and is fully independent and owner-managed. Michael Morgenroth is a chartered surveyor (MRICS), property economist (VWA), legal economist (VWA) and banker. He has more than 35 years of professional experience in the areas of investment banking, real estate and property financing.

From April 2012 until the successful management buy-out of the company on 1 July 2013, he was Managing Director of SIGNA Holding GmbH in Vienna. Prior to this, he was a member of the Management Board of Gothaer Asset Management AG (GoAM) from 2004 to 2012, where he was responsible for all of the insurance company´s real estate and infrastructure investments (around €24bn AUM). He implemented an exclusively indirect property investment strategy and built up a global portfolio of around €2.7 billion with more than sixty investments.

Until his departure from GoAM, he was Chairman of the Real Estate Commission of the German Insurance Association (GDV) and a member of the Management Board of INREV (European Association of Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Investment Vehicles) from 2009 to 2015. He was also its Chairman from 2010 to 2012.
